Mr. Rogers Dies
Mr. Fred Rogers, the ordained Presbyterian minister who for over 30 years brought children & parents into the magical land of "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" died early this morning, of recently diagnosed cancer, at the age of 74.

Now, I never watched Mr. Rogers a whole lot, probably more as an adult than as a child. Maybe that's becuz he really spoke to the inner child in us all & in me, in ways I never realized at the time, yet were somehow soothing & uplifting.
Rev. Fred Rogers was a quietly powerful advocate for children who stood against CSA in his shows & by his example.
In a time when we are hearing so much about CSA by clergy, he is also an example & beacon of hope, even in death.
The world neighborhood, the global village, is a bit emptier today becuz Fred Rogers is not here anymore.
And yet he is...
"It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood..."
