Movie "The Woodsman"

I was reading movie synapis' for the up-coming holiday festivities, and read one that stars Kevin Bacon, called "The Woodsman". It's about a pedophile, out on parole, trying to redeem his life back. I was wondering if any of you have heard of this, and what you know about it, as well as your thoughts, feelings, etc.
Fox's 411 talked about Kevin Bacon's possible Oscar for his role as the lead character. Don't know about you all, but I have a bad feeling about this one, possiblily "glamorizing" pedophiles, and making victims look like "abusers".
