Hi there. My name is Teresa and my family's story was featured on the April 6th Dr. Phil Show. I wanted to comment on this subject. I wish someone credible would come out against Michael Jackson -- someone upstanding and beyond reproach. I personally think he's guilty as sin because all the signs are there but the fact that he is rich and so many people want to get a piece of that, it gives the defense team ample fodder to claim "extortion." I pray he doesn't get off this time. I wish there were a way to disallow his accuser's family from getting any monetary settlement other than for the direct treatment of the abuse (for the rest of the victim's lifetime). Maybe the courts should compel a "fine" on him and that money should go into a pool to help with therapy for sexual abuse victims. A few million dollars would go a long way, wouldn't it? (Don't worry, I'm not so naive that I think this would ever happen. I just wish the claim of extortion wouldn't be seen as the defense to end all defenses!) By the way, I've been reading your posts and the quotes you've chosen. They are excellent! Thanks for listening.
