I realize for some that mother's day is probably not a good day but for me, my mom although not able to stop the abuse was able to slow it down. Of course she is the one that got abused if I wasn't being beat or molested. If she was around, things usually didn't happen to me but the minute she was gone, all hell would break loose.

Anyway, the following is just my tribute to my mom who no longer is in this world. She was taken by a car accident. I always hoped and wished and prayed it would be my father first, so I could once again establish the connection with her but it didn't happen this way.

Anyway,

My mom is no longer around as she got taken in a car accident. I still miss her and this day is for her, but I do miss her. I'm finding out I got so many things from my mom, more than I ever realized before she was gone from this world.

My creativity
My ability to create music
My love to cook and create whatever happens
My compassion for others
My ability to help others feel better

Here's to you Mom! May I continue to become all that I can be and may I make a differance in the universe with each day that I am given.

WOW! That was quite a tribute to your Mom. I know that wherever she is, she is so very proud of oyu and all of oyur accomplishments! I wish you could share tomorrow with her person, but make sure tomorrow that you thank her in your heart! She will hear you!

As for my Brothers reading this, you NEED to check out Don's Music site. I had tears in my eyes after listening to some of his BEAUTIFUL pieces and reading the write-up as to the origins of his music!

It is tough this time of year but the more I see what my mom gave me the more I realize just how close she is to me.

Dear Don,
I grieve for you because tomorrow is a day when mother will be the topic. I hope that you remember all the great things your mom did and that she has done for you. I am blessed to have a mother in my life who is awesome.

My mom could not stop my abuse either. Maybe she never knew. One day she brought it up in front of my whole family and I wanted to die that day.

Today, I am grateful to have a mom who I realize more and more is a great women. She does the best things in the world for me and she is my number one girl always..I love my mom :) . I hope to appreciate her everyday that she is here.
 
Thanks.... yes it is hitting me today... we are going out with jeff's mom and his family for mother's day, but well there is a void there.. I will make it, but it isn't easy.

Don - mother's day in England has been & gone.

One of the things that my mother taught me to appreciate was the beauty of nature all around us. A couple of years before She died, She planted a clematis in my back yard - the flower buds have been growing for weeks - today they have opened up & I have a wall of flowers about 20 feet across & six feet high. This annual reminder means that I never forget what a postive prescence she was in my life. It amazes me to find out that you celebrate Mothers Day on the day that this plant has burst into colour.
