It seems that the meds that I have ben takeing for PTSD are wreaking my sex drive . My wife says that I have seemed to have lost intrest .
I just dont seem to have the drive that I did before takeing the meds Is there any thing that I can do before this wreaks my marrage

If you are taking SSRI antidepressants (Prozac, Paxil, Celexa, Lexapro, etc), it is a common side effect for these meds to lower you sex drive. Not all do that, so you can talk to your pdoc or gp about trying a different med.

This is a common complaint by many users of these meds so feel free to talk to the doc about that. S/he is aware that lots of folks have that reaction so don't be embarrassed.

Just to comment briefly, I have heard several users of Celexa complaining of exactly the side effects Ken is talking about. They changed their meds and everything was fine.

On Celexa my sex drive is almost nil.
I guess I have to live with that to keep calm, but it is a side effect nevertheless.
I hate drugs, but I have to accept that I need them.

My psyche doc offered to change it, so maybe I will ask him for advice, but I think, better the devil you know.

After all, its my mind that matters, and I checked that this drug is pretty safe,
