I'm a reporter with The New York Post working on a story about problems that arise for boys who are sexually victimized by older women, who are not related to them. I'm trying to find men who were sexually victimized as boys by older women. If anyone on this board went through this and could speak to me about what they've gone through and the long-term problems they've had to overcome, please call or email me as soon as possible. Thank you very much.

(I have removed the contact numbers until they have been checked .

Sam, thank you for writting about this. If you navigate through the old posts, probably best on the Male Survivor on the
Pulic Forums, I do believe you will get some info on this topoic there. There is also someone I will privately ask if they would contact you.

Again, thanks so much for your interest. Most people are really ignorant about this issue.

Sam,
I'm assuming that you're researching sexual abuse in regards to the woman in Mendham, NJ. I was initiated to sex by a female family member however I would like to draw your attention to Don Johnson, the Miami Vice star. I recently read a book called The Sexual Healing Journey by Wendy Maltz and in it she references the case of Johnson (p28-29,40). According to the book he was 12 when he had sex with his 17yo babysitter and apparently now he has had incredible difficulties in sustaining a relationship. The author notes that she became aware of his case through a Barbara Walters Special a number of years ago. I hope this helps.

I'm still awaiting confirmation that this is a genuine request.
I will post the numbers asap.

I spoke to the reporter today in my role as the board member responsible for the website. He is doing an article on the female teacher/male student sexual abuse case in NJ. Here is his request:

I am covering a case in New Jersey where a teenage boy has accused a female teacher of sexually assaulting him. His mother, who I interviewed yesterday, is very concerned about what effect this could have on him. I've talked to a number of psychatrists who have told me the kinds of long-term problems boys and men can deal with after such a situation. I would now like to speak to someone who has gone through this themselves who can speak about the problems they experienced.
I'm asking that if you are thinking about emailing or speaking by phone with the reporter, that you contact me first. This is not about censorship but is just a precaution as my experience with the media has been that interviews with survivors don't always work out the way the interviewee expects. I'm not interested in directing what you say, where you go with it, but more concerned that your understanding of the interview will not cause you a setback or result in a sense of being re-victimized.

If you are considering speaking with him, please email me via pm or directly: [email protected]. I check my email several times a day and I understand that this reporter has a deadline so this would need to be done Saturday.

Listen to him Brothers for he knows about which he speaks. Dont go blind into it. There are a couple of cases that went disasrously wrong in Toronto and lets only be one kind of statistic . You know the 1 in 5 rule.

An example of what Ksinger speaks is the unfortunate case of Sheldon Kennedy the Hockey Player. I really believe that the media used him to sell ads. If you remember he broke the shit about hockey coaches wide open. I felt so sorry for him. He just wanted to put his life together and deal with his perp and live in grace. Unfortunately he as made into a celebrity of the moment. Hockey is also a very violent and fast sport and opponents will use anything to their advantage. Some of the players on his own team had to speak out publically that any slight to Sheldon was a slight to them and they would not tolerate it. Unfortunately, I think, Sheldon was branded as a pariah in a sport he loved to play. Does the media take any responsibility for anything that happened to sheldon later. Do I really have to answer that??? Think of the shit that our gay brothers here have to deal with if they like football, hockey, lacross for that manner anything in life. God it makes me sick to admit to being male. No more ranting. Just heed our Directors caution
No on a brighter note I wish everyone a great weekend
