Love is in the air!

I am not sure what is going on with me but I have been wanting to say "I LOVE YOU" on this site. This is a "I LOVE YOU" as in "you've heard me and acknowledged me, I exist here"

I have never been able or felt like saying I love you to anyone in my life including partners or family, actually I've always found these words made me sick and when people have said them to me I have only felt repulsion and suspicion.

There is nothing wrong with saying, "I love you, man," or something similar. After I visited MS for a while and got to know some of these guys, I began adding it in my PMs. They don't take it romantic or sexual, but as brothers. Brothers who have endured some of the same crap we've all endured to be drawn to this place. I truly love these guys, because they are the only guys I can talk to about this stuff. I've found there are very few walls between us here. I think of a lot of them as my brothers.

I know what you mean though, I can't tell you the last time I told my biological brother I loved him. I may do that tonight in an email..LOL I'll be sure to get a panicked long distance call after that!

When I came here, I actually DESPISED the word love. Because all my examples of "love" had either been at the hands of some of my perps or from people later on who would say that word to use me in some way or other.

I don't know that I could use it anywhere but here at this point. Because here it is unconditional and without guile.

I don't use it with everyone, but there are some here that I truly feel that emotion for. And, so when appropriate, I use it.

It's a great thing to hear that word and know that you are safe with it, at least here.

we are all here for the same thing, we all go through this and love is always sidetracked, we lost a lot of love on every corner, we missed it by miles, it stared us in the face, but we never saw it, of where too confused to care.

It is love of all these things, that bring us together, and we love the one's here, because they are here to share, as Marc said, it is a love born of brotherhood, and of caring for others who have been there
