I am the very proud sister of Roadrunner....it has been three years since he disclosed to me that he is a survivor of CSA. Since then, our family has been "served" its share of difficult times, specifically, the diminishing health of both of our paretnts. Lar has not only coped with this situation, but continued to amazingly advance in his journey of healing. Recently he made two transatlantic trips to the US to be with family during critical times. This was impossible, just a few months ago, as he was a prisoner of fear. Why do I post now? Not only because I love respect my brother, but for all of you, survivors and loved ones, who are on this journey. Many of you at MS have helped him along his way ((((((you know who you are))))))May love, peace and strength be with all of you. Cathie

Thank-you Cathie.

I know you probably know this, but you are and have been for many decades the anchor that kept roadrunner on solid ground. He speaks very highly and lovingly of you to us.

I just want to take this opportunity to honor you for that.

I sometimes thing that our loved ones have no real concept of the contribution they make in our lives just by "being there" when we need them. It is immeasurable and priceless.

cathie,just as you have been an anchor for your brother ,he has been an anchor here for me ,he responded to my first nervous post and showed me what this site could do .its so cool that he has you,what a gift you both are. adam

Cathie,

First off, as one of my friends would say, "You rock." Larry's eloquent word-portrait of your recent journey together made it clear in no uncertain terms just how much it means for a survivor to have a sister like you.

Second, and finally, I just have to 'ditto' Adam's comments about Larry and what a source of strength and solace he is for everyone who comes here. His wisdom and compassion shine in even the most off-hand posts; you should be very proud of each other. And know how blessed you are to have one another to lean on.

{Cathie!}

very nice to see your post, thanks for coming to MS and thanks for supporting your brother so well. He always says you are his ROCK! Secure and anchored.

I have a sister too, she was abused also by our Dad. She is enormous support for me and I think of her as my ROCK too! (But only since Larry always calls you that.)

all the best
