Thanks, Dave, for reminding me. I could have gone on up to 29, but I didn't want to hog the list.....

Good question, what did I do right ?

I guess the best thing I did was not turn the abuse against those weaker than me.

But other than that I was a little s**t for most of the time
;)

Well, I set out house on fire--but I told my Mom so the house did not burn down.

Actually, I did a lot of things as a kid. I was taught by my Dad to help neighbors, so I shoveled snow and mowed lawns for free for the elderly around our entire block.

I also carried Mom into the house when she came home drunk and couldn't walk.

My friends and I did a little vandalism, but it was just nuisance things. I too went to a boarding school for my last two years of HS--got me away from my perp. And, it was a great experience.

Bob,

Boarding school was the best move that I made in my life. I loved it, and, as you said, it got me away from my perp. I like to say that I started my life there.

Things I did wrong,

Just about everything and then the things that were right one minute may or may not have been right the next minute (up to the decision of the god of the house).

And of course the rules or the changes in what was right or wrong were never announced or published. You had to figure them out by being smarter than everyone or by getting beat when you weren't smart enough to figure it out.

What the Hell is THAT Lloydy?
A list of things YOU did wronge as a kid as it relates to SA? What a load of crap.
I can't believe YOU wrote THAT.

If its not that, u better explain ur-self.

Sounds like a self blame list. Which is a totally unfair claim to make against ur-self. And U should know & believe it.

Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

That's just an empty list, I did NOTHING WRONG as far as my SA went.

For a long time I thought I did everything wrong, and I could have filled that list ten times over with all the shit I blamed myself for, but now the list is empty, I've given ALL the shit back to the perps.

It's a bit weird hearing you say that boarding school was good, but please don't think I want you to stop saying it.
I can't think of hardly anything good about the one I went to. Just one teacher had my respect, and he was only there for about 2 years teaching wood & metal work which I loved anyway.

There is an old boys web site for my old school, and the guys on there - some of whom I remember - obviously liked the place.
One old boy who's on the web site I do know was also abused there.
I guess it creates different problems and experiences for diferent people.

I really like your list Lloydy. It took me a minute, Then came the sense of deep understanding.

As I was reading the pluses of boarding school experiences from GREEN and THE DEAN I thought of your experiences.

To me boarding school means the place where my perpetrator (older brother) was sent so my mother could then take me to bed with her. I was in his hands, then I was in her hands.

Again the image here is the masses of seagulls in the movie FINDING NEMO, I was the crabmeat and all they could say was, quote, mine! MINE! mine! MINE! mine! MINE! mine! MINE! mine! MINE! MINE! MINE! mine! MINE! mine! MINE! mine! MINE! mine! MINE! mine! MINE! mine! MINE! MINE! MINE! mine! MINE! mine! MINE! mine! MINE! mine! MINE! mine! MINE! mine! MINE! MINE! MINE! mine! MINE! mine! MINE! mine! MINE! mine! MINE! mine! MINE! mine! MINE! MINE! MINE! mine! MINE!
