Letter of availability - snails progress (trigger)
Things are moving again (slowly) with the court case. Perve was up at the Magistrates Court again last week (19th) & the result was that it's now been moved to Crown Court (higher level crimes).
I've received a letter in the post today from the Witness Care Unit (Liaison Officer) asking if there are any dates that I am not available to attend court within the next 6 months.
The letter states the name of the offender! The Offence: Gross Indecency With a Child - Boy. The Year / Date/s and location
The letter also states that he has been committed to the Crown Court - date of trial to be arranged.
It's cut me up to see the offence written down in an official capacity for the first time. I wrote my statement back in October, but they were my words. That was what I claimed had happened (and every single word was true).
To see that he has been officially charged....after all this time...it's like some sort of universal recognition at last! Such mixed emotions.
All of this crap has been floating around my head since 1969 - it looks as though this year I am finally going to flush the toilet!!!
