Laws need to be changed

Hi all.
We all know and appreciate federal laws that protect the environment and endangered anamals. But did you know there is no federal law that protects children that have been abused or laws that prosecut perpetrators unless the crime takes place on federal land. It's time this contry starts caring about the future and the present destruction of our children at the hand of abusers that can be prevented through federal laws that limit there movement activities and the institutions that protect them. Let me know what you think and if you have any ideas or expertise in law and or government. The link below shOs this. Thanks.

Hi Bluesky,

I think you're misreading the website. I think it's saying that state law generally takes precedence unless the abuse happened on federal land in a given state or in multiple states, not that there is no federal law against child abuse. The site shows the basic federal situation in the second paragraph.
