Nyjah:

Sometimes we just need that friendly "hello" to fill the void inside of us. Many times I feel that I am walking through a world of stangers looking for a familiar face to make me feel peaceful.
So don't worry - you're not babbling. You just needed to come to a place where there are some familiar "voices" who understand you.

Try and get some sleep, OK?

Hey it is nice to hear from you. I really like it when you write like that because I feel I understand you. Keep your spirts up and whenever you come here remember that we are here for you.

I'm glad this is a safe place for you to be, even just for a few minutes to say Hi.

And today doesn't have to be yesterday all over again. Maybe ask your "Buddy" to help you put together a plan to do something, or many things, different each day.

Here's to hoping today is better than yesterday and tomorrow is better than today.
Peace - John

Nyjah,

Two things. First, absolutely right. It is great sometimes to just say "hi". And here is another cool trick: When I wake in the night from a nightmare or panic attack sometimes I just head downstairs for a few minutes for a change of scenery. I snap on a few soft lights, make myself an herb tea, perhaps listen to a bit of relaxing music. I also have a secret confidant. When I go downstairs our German Shepherd follows me down (they are very territorial and protective). One night he curled up in a ball at my feet and I proceeded to explain how messed up everything was. So he jumped up on the couch to listen more closely ;) . Now, by the time I get myself downstairs he is already down there on the couch waiting for me - a furry therapist :) .

Your post suggests that you are stuck in a routine and that isn't good for you. Can you arrange some interesting activities, things you like to do just for fun? It can be anything really, just whatever you like to do. That helps to convince yourself that even with everything that has happened, there is still a fun Nyjah who can enjoy himself and be a kid. I know this isn't as easy as it sounds, but if you can do this I bet you would be surprised as how much it helps you.

All the best,
Larry
