The descriptions of her perspective in this article are exactly the greatest fear of victims of the covert abuse by doctors. The very same excuses that kept Nassar at it for years.
Statements like these said previously by me, to myself or others; and now to the Nassar victims/survivors are so confusing and painful- feel free to add you own:
*It was medically necessary
*Why are they telling now, so many years later
*They were fine until now
*It was accepted medical practice
*He's a doctor and would never go against his oath
*Whats the big deal, everyone gets examined by the doctor
*Whats with the US, so prudish, naked exams are the norm in other countries
*It's not like he raped him or anything
*He is just too modest
*The doctor is just doing his job
*This modesty thing is out of control (and not to mention the double standard between male and female modesty in medical, school/YMCA locker room and other settings)
