In Need of Advice

Our family member is a male survivor.He didnt want us to join this forum however, we decided that we needed some advice. We are very worried about his behavior lately. He has always been kind,caring,loving and thoughtful, he has never been violent.In the past few weeks he has become violent and increasingly abusive mostly to himself. Yesterday he kept punching the wall until his hand was bleeding.Today he broke a bottle and cut his arm with the broken piece of glass.He wont talk to us. When we try, he just walks away.Tonight he walked out of the house, didnt say where he was going but turned to us and said everything will be ok now, then he left. We dont know what to do,or how to help him. Any suggestions and advice would be appreciated, thank-you

If you feel he might hurt himself you need to call your local hot line and talk to them about it. He may need to watched for a few days.
