Good news at last !!!!
I should be participating in Mike Lew's first workshop in Kettlewell, UK this summer. The first workshop is for therapists and professionals working with male survivors.
So I am making an appeal to the guys here who will be going or will be around that area. I will be stopping in London for a few days too so if you want to meet up, I will be happy too !
I am a survivor myself and still I consider myself a partner too though things are rocky with my love.
I am going to Kettlewell because I am currently doing a Master in Art Therapy in Paris and I want to specialize in helping male survivors through my art which is theatre.

I will be in Montreal this autumn. As part of my training I have looked for an internship in Canada and I have been accepted in CPIVAS (a centre for survivors in Laval, really close to Montreal) for a 4 weeks internship. I will be staying in Deux Montagnes so if members are around that area, I would love to meet you too ! I have promised some of my good friends here to make a short detour via the US (especially New York). I hope to see you ! I have already a special coffee break at Starbuck with Kolisha ! :)

Scot, unfortunately for you I was one of the very first French girl to play softball ! I even have a diploma in coach training for baseball and softball in France (got it with the highest mark and praise !). I am seriously good at it ! I used to play pitcher and short stop, not surprising since this is a very suicidal position on the field. I hope you will ALL make the link with the fact I am a survivor ! LOL !!! I got introduced to the real madness of baseball in Texas, where I went to the Arlington stadium to admire the Rangers and the NY Yankees !
Having me on the other side of the Atlanctic will only mean TROUBLES !!!! I only make friends with the brave American "rsistants" (guess whom they are resisting against !!!!). Yes the US can be a very scary place for a citizen of Old Europe. I usually get laughed out because of my British accent. I am curious to see what's going to happen now that I have a South African accent ! Oh YEBO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any chance to meet you Scot ??? You are close to the border and you are in the Kennedy country aren't you ??????? Yes I must confess that I am a big fan of John and Bobby Kennedy !
I am really excited about this trip. I have to concentrate on getting the money I need so I can enjoy fully the trip.

The only thing to be worried about being seduced by in Canada is hockey.. as long as you are not pulled by the evil in blue - the Toronto Maple Leafs - you're ok...

But if you are going to Quebec (during the winter that is.. no hockey in summer, *sigh*) I can only assume you'll learn about les Canadiens "affectionately known as the "Habs" (short for Habitants - original name for French Settlers in Canada).

Being an Ottawa Senators fan I am surprisingly ok with Habs fans... but stay away les maple leafs!!

I was hoping to go to the Mike Lew workshop here in the UK, I have the forms here but I don't think I can do those dates. Maybe - if there's a space and I can make it at the last minute I'll be there. :rolleyes:

Mike is good, I've been to some of his small workshops at a conference a few years ago, so I really want to be there !

Let me know Lloydy ! I still haven't paid for the workshop but I know I will be part of the first one for therapist.
I should be staying a few days in London too if you want to meet up. I'll pm you my phone number in France later !

hockey? baseball?

golf. now there is a sport! Masters weekend is here and everything else takes a backburner :D a big "do not disturb" sign will be hung with care (i even booted out my foster son last year during the Masters! calm down! i just sent him to the park with lady theo, sheesh!)

Hockey............I'm in Michigan and it's Red Wings all the way. Don't ask about the Tigers or the Lions though, ugh.

Wish I could go to a retreat just as a spouse. Maybe someday my husband and I could go together, and go to different groups.

Time to wake up from the dream world, I doubt he would ever go to such a public thing.
