i haven't posted about this cause i'm sure people are tired of hearing my troubles ,but i could use some advice,my abuser has sent me pictures of what he did to me ,little kid all beat to hell,recently he sent a video tape ,of me being abused ,he made lots of videos.but they never show his face ,he wore a leather hood when he made videos ,like a fool i destroyed the tape ,evidence i could have used against him.some people here told me to contact the post office .and cops where he lives .so i been on the phone all day ,the post office ,sent me to the attorney general ,who contacted the police where he lives ,a detective from calif called me and brought up his record ,he says they can't just have somebody watch him all the time he hasn't broken the law there ,but there is nothing wrong if i have somebody watch him ,he thinks we could catch him doing something and get a search warrant for his house ,so he gave me a number for a private dective in calif .if i can pay they will stake him out ,if he even spits on the sidewalk the cops will arrest him .the cop wants to help before he hurts another kid .ok so it costs 3 thousand dollars for two weeks it's gonna wipe out my savings ,but what if he don't do anything wrong ,my money will be gone ,what if the videos and pictures aren't in his house .but what if i could put him back in prison where he belongs ,they said just the videos would be enough or pictures . i fought this pig before and won maybe i can do it again ? adam

I can't make the decision for you I'm not even sure I am qualified to give you advice, but one thing I know, it won't be any fun no matter what you decide, however, I'll support and encourage you no matter what.

I'm not tired of hearing about the "troubles" you are dealing with, that is why I come here, to support my friends. So you do what you have to; your friends here will support you and I am sure that some will be able to give advice to you at this time.

Hang in there because you are worth it.

Tell that detective that you expect him to make your case a priority, and to certainly be given precedence if he is otherwise chasing after Johns or pot smokers, (which is what they spend a lot of time doing depending on the city).

My god if they can't allocate time for you, what the hell are they for?

You may also try contacting the state rep and/or sen and ask them to help "pursuade" the police in that district to help you, (politicians can look really bad if they let child molesters run rampant in their districts). Simply email them and tell them your situation and that the police told you that "they don't have time to watch him". You might be suprised what a motivated politician can accomplish.

These alternatives don't cost money so I thought I would mention them.

Is there any way you can get him to send the photos again?

The police should have acted on evidence that you gave them, because it is accusation of a very serious nature.

You could contact a law centre or attorney, who would make the police accountable for their inaction.

Just another word to confirm that no one is tired of listening to you. That is what this place is all about.

I like Ste's idea about contacting a law center where you can get informed advice. I don't think it would be a good idea to spend $3000 to watch this guy for two weeks. It seems to me he is a cunning bastard, so the chances are slim that he is keeping anything in his house.

If you get any further pictures or videos, you should take them to the police and notify the federal authorities, as it is a crime to use the post in this way. And as I have said before, it is a good idea to confirm everything in writing so you have a secure record of what has been said, when, to whom, and so on.

If he used the mail service to send you the tape then he has potentially committed a federal crime. Especially if it was sent from one state to another. Local laws and law enforcement tend to be weak or lax about what you've described. However, federal enforcement would come down hard on him and be more of a champion for you. Try doing some research on this.

if I lived within any distance of him, he would not be able to put a foot out of place.

I would gladly do it for free.

Dont waste your money, there is always some way of getting around this problem, and I sure think it is a big crime to send CSA media through any postal system.

I came to this thread a little late. Looks like you posted it just after I signed off last night.

You've been given a lot of good advise already. Not sure I have anything else constructive to add.

One thing for certain is that It's OK to talk about these things when you come here. That IS what we're here for, and one of the reasons this place was started.

Keep up your courage, Adam, and remember, you are loved.

I believe according to Megans law, it is complusory for a convicted sex offender to inform the local authorities about his existence in a neighbourhood.

If he hasn't done so till now, I am sure you can do that for him! Inform the local civic bodies, the church, a social group or sex abuse centre in the area.

But the most important thing would be to post a copy of his conviction form or something that make his actual neighbours aware of his acts, a copy of that little boys image, may be he is from that locality, it is time for you to get proactive.

I am sure people, especialy mothers of the neighbourhood would would rise up, watch over him, afterall it is their safety which is at stake.

Mothers across america are beginning to do so, watching out for sex offenders in their neighbourhood and finally evicting them, Tell Oprah, she would air his photographs or a local newspaper, why not start a public awareness campaign against him. Let him know what you are made of!

And may a nation rise behind you, so that millions of children could be saved from what you went thru,and let it be a telling lesson for all of us, and for the mankind.

thanks for all the replies ,my abuser was not convicted of any sex crimes ,they plea bargained ,away the sex charges ,so he don't have to register ,also a lawyer told me if i would put his pic in the newspaper or on a billboard he could sue me ,hell i can't even tell somebody what he is ,he has rights you know?!if he wasn't three thousand miles away i would watch him myself ,the stocks my gran left me were worth 5 thousand ,i can't think of a better way to spend it .i'm gonna nail his ass ,again!hey bobby i emptied my box
 
You can be sued for ANYTHING Adam, but it doesn't mean one will win. What if you only post public records like excerpts of the court transcript? I doubt that you can be sued successfully for diplaying public record, but I don't know for sure cuz' I'm not a lawyer. Well, I thought it was a good idea.

Hey, if you know where he lives, send letters of information to all his neighbors! Finding addresses of nearby residents is easy. Buy a bunch of 39 cent stamps and let the truth be told!
 
Adam Save your money and let the postal service and fbi deal with this.

One simple thing that you can do. Stop all mail from coming to your house. Go to the local post office and rent a box. When you go in to get your mail if there is any thing from him than the post office or FBI will have to deal with it. Do not take it out of your PO box.
