Today i noticed that in my dreams i'm pretty sure im always or almost always a boy in them. I dont remember any dreams where i was an adult. Am I the only one?

Bartleby,

If yo.u still dream like the little boy, yes he went through this crap, you are now an adult. Tell him you are the adult, the one who protects him now.

The little boy, wants to find a way of seeing the world, he should have been part of, he has a special gift, a gift borne of so much hurt, frustration and anger in an unforgiving world.

I am still the little boy, he is always there, I can't deny him, I protect him, I owe him at least that much.

I can never let him go, he is too precious a memory to just leave behind.

I suppose, when you think about it, he is the one who maybe gets us so far, the one who bails us out, when times are so hard.

take care

Hello Bartleby,

In most of my dreams I am a young child -

Talked w/ my T about this a couple of years ago - In his best understanding, our minds keep going back to our childhoods to try to make sense out of what happened so long ago

The dreams have become easier to handle over the last year...(at least I'm not very often wakeing up screaming or in a puddle of my own sweat or with all the sheets ripped off the bed) - perhaps that is a sign that my mind is finally makeing sense out of my past - I hope that your dremas will become easier for you to handle too...

I do not dream, or remember them, often (that would require much more sleep, continuous, then I usually get!) But when I do recall dreams, I am usually younger, maybe not a child, but younger then my actual age. Not sure what it is suppose to mean, but you are not alone in that.
