they said i have IED and that used to be called rage disorder so they wanna give me medicine to calm me down i guess. but i told them i dont have any disorder. just go ask my stepbrother why im so pissed off all the time ;(
so does anybody know anything about it?
they told me i hafto to go behavioral therapy to. i think its bs.
but i dont remember having an outburst at my moms house but the place was really trashed (oops) but i really really dont remember doing it. they said thats common

Trev,

I think the bottom line here is that the doctors and counselors are just trying to help you. They don't blame you. They are giving you medications to adjust your behavior, and many disorders are just the result of a chemical imbalance. Could you give it a shot and see if it helps you?

Much love,
Larry

ya Im gonna try it and see what happens.
they said it was chemical thing probably so i
said i think maybe eric hit me in the head
to many times and maybe thats it. so they
asked me questions about that but i didnt
wanna say much about it u know?
but i want them to do something about my mom to
and i tried telling them but they only were
worried about me they said shes an adult and
has to get help herself i cant do it for her.
so now im back at my stepsisters house, she
said i dont have a choice, she said i have to
take the medicine and see the doctors, she
said she wants me to tell the police about
stuff that happened. she said i better not
trash her house or shell lock me up! lol

Trev,

I'll just agree with Larry here. Give it a try. It should help, although it may take them a little time to get the right doses of med for you. While they are trying to do that, you may experience some drowsiness or other things, but it shouldn't take too long to get the meds balanced correctly. The important thing will be for you to tell them as honestly as you can what you are feeling from the meds.

Lots of love,

John

Hi again Trev. Hey, please don't be put off by the notion of taking those meds. If anything, you'll feel better.

Once you have an established routine, the doses will be reduced and one day very soon you probably won't need them anymore.

Trev,

Taking meds for this sort of problem doesn't mean you are some kind of wacko. The fact of the matter is that many of the problems we have can be reduced a LOT by medication. Often the idea is just to change our chemical balance. Your doctors may have to try out different things, but please do give them a chance. They only mean to help you, and man, it feels so much better to feel better! (Hmm, there's one to figure out.)

Much love,
Larry
