At 4:30am this morning, my eyes opened wide after only being in bed since 1:30am. No matter what I tried to do, my eyes would not shut. It was as if something was around me and was forcing me to be on guard for whatever it was. I finally came out and stayed up for about an hour and a half just making sure everything was ok. Of course it was but was a very freaky morning. Sometimes of course I don't know if these "feelings" are valid or are just part of my overall nightmare in life. And of course right now, I feel more sleepy than I did at 4:30am. - go figure! Wish I could find someone that could tell me the "why's" of what I was experiencing this morning or even the facts. Just a small tidbit of info would be nice.. but those things are beyond my reach.

Don,

Well, Don, you were awake for me because those are the exact three hours that I got last night. Your hypervigilence overode mine and you were on guard for me. Thank you.
After that, I joined you, on guard, for the rest of the night.
Hate to tell you, but those three hours were the best I've had in weeks. Glad that you were watching over things while I was sleeping...for a change.
Listen, it's your turn tonight. I will watch over you...better yet, I'll get several of the other guys here to do the same, and we'll watch over you so that you can rest knowing that your buddies are here, taking care. OK?
Your battles with getting enough sleep are those of the rest of us. So cast some of your concerns our way, let us carry the load for tonight and sleep well, brother.

the best 'cure' for this has to be our local paper and a cup of hot chocolate.

The "Shropshire Star" has to be the most boring read in the universe ( why I still buy the bloody thing is a mystery ? ) and guaranteed to send me back to sleep.

Ill tell you what works for me Don. Oh and by the way thanks to you and David standing guard.

I have a cup of hot milk (kinda like hot chocolate) and it works every time.

I don't really know what is going on with me these days. Any touch or even massage right now makes me angry (most of the time, but not always). I just feel like I am fighting from the inside out right now.

Tonight I had to give a massage and I was actually afraid of how it would go. LIke I said, there are so many things going on within me right now, and many people to keep up with it. But it was amazing because I think I really relaxed tonight and the client was totally out when I got done.

I do know, that while this may be called healing and growing, it is harder than hell to deal with some days.

Oh well... must just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Funny, usually three or four hours is refreshing sleep to me. But sometime, even that is not enough. And depending on what is going on with the dreams, sometime even six or seven hours, you will feel more tired then before going to sleep. I hope you were able to get some more rest.
