I don't understand

Sorry, I'm ranting right now, but I'm just very angry over some events this week.

Right now, I'm very upset. Many of you know that I am a licensed massage therapist. No where does that say licesned sex massage therapist and yet this week, I've had two guys call me wanting a "massage with more". I knew sooner or later I would probably get this as others run into this as well. You can be legitimate, and state that it is non sexual only to get calls for sex. It just makes me angry because I put a lot of time and energy in to the massages that I give and help people feel better and get pain relief.

I just don't understand why being gay means that people have to expect this. It is extremely disrespectful and demeaning and totally sick and sad in my view. Why someone would pay money to have this done in a massage, I don't know and if I was going to do it, I sure wouldn't be doing it for my regular fee. GEEESH! Plus I could lose my license and get arrested for it as well.

I just don't understand. Yes at one time in my life, I looked for every way to have sex that I could but not at the expense of another human. I guess I have always respected people and hope they do the same with me but it is very sad that I even have to deal with this issue. The last thing I want to be doing in life is having anything to do with sex at random. I have my partner and that is all I want.

I'm just upset, angry, and sad over this..

Got to focus because I've got a legitimate massage tonight to do!

For too many years 'massage' (wink, wink) meant 'sex'. It was a quaint euphemism for prostitution. I've started getting massages last year when I was recovering from the radiation treatments and it made me feel so good, relaxed, and refreshed, not sexual, just good. Frankly I was afraid that a massage would turn sexual, that I'd get aroused, that something sexual would occur. It was a big step for me to be touched by another person. I had to trust. It's a difficult task to change the perception of some people. Try not to get upset about ignorant people, they just don't know any better.

And it's good to rant every now and again.

You have every right to be angry over this. Some idiots just don't get it.

However, if the morons call back, may I make a suggestion?

Tell them you'd be very happy to oblige but the police officer you're working on at the moment would strenuously object and wants to go over and discuss it.

You'd be surprised how quickly they'll hang up.

Seriously, I truly hope you don't let this get in the way of the good work you do. A few idiots don't mean that everyone's an idiot.

In fact, I respect people who do this and could seriously use one right now to straighten out my tension-filled spine right now.

A real massage, mind you.

And I'll bet you're really good at your job.
