I can be having the worst time and....

I can be having the worst time in my life or the worst day and when I go to the children's hospital to do chair massage, it all disappears. When I see these little kids and little infants/babies going through what they go through, I am filled with a sense of perspective in life. All of what I am going through is not match to some of the life and death situations these kids are fighting. And the parents stay by their sides holding on to hope and faith that things will get better. The kids act like kids and they are shy, ambitious, fun loving,,, just like kids without illnesses. It is hard to explain because I thought it would make me very sad being there. Instead I leave there feeling energized, feeling so much better about life. It is truly a place that touches my heart.

Tonight I got to be in a couple of situations that were very different than anything I have ever been in. I managed to get through them ok and felt like it was another building block added to my life.

I really love those people in this hospital.

It's great of you to make these children's and their families a bit of escape from their daily battles. We all need that. Thanks.

Our problems always look so big while we are looking up at them from inside our own depths. But there are others with other great problems, being dealt with as it's just another day and nothing is wrong. Thanks for sharing this story.
