i am reading the ian mckellen auto biography

i bought a copy of the Ian McKellen Biography-

Over the 10 years of work really hard - and not doing anything -

the night Ian McKellen won for Gods and Monster on the Oscars - I wrote on my bargain basement Webtv appliance (lol) an email to him congratulating him on his website -

I never thought this would happen but at probably 7 or 8 the next morning HE wrote back personally - I nearly fell off my bed -

He said -Thank you for such a cheering email.

It was so great -

Anyway - I am now reading his autobiography in parts - that's the way I read these days -

but

I am liking the political spats between Derek Jacobi and Ian in London -

Derek is like this extreme totalitarian anarchist of gay life -

and Ian - well get's on with it - and has influenced so many public advancements for us in the UK -
