Hugs and Peace!

Marc,

I know what you mean. Only recently I have realized this and can see it around me. It hurts terribly but I am trying to go through it. Result: mu life to date does not seem to fit any longer!

The one good thing that has come of it is that I can see it coming now and am learning to say no. It is still weird to do that but I will get used to it.

I am coming to realise that what I was told was my "personality" seems to be learned behavior that I should be able to unlearn.

Peace,
Freedom.

Hi Mar:
my boss's boss chose instead to use as an attack vehicle to call me stupid cc:'ing about 11 other people.
Brother wolf I have been where you are. It is not your fault. The other guy is an asshole and leave it at that. God why is the world so full of them.

I know that I would respond and email all concerned that my suggestion was not an attack but merely a suggestion that might help. But I have made so many career limiting moves in my life time one more would not make a difference.

Marc there will always be people like that. Maybe he is insecure or whatever. The point is ignore the asshole and get on with living. I know I have a tendancy to be sensitive to attacks of this nature cause it attacks my sense of self worth. But you know what. I am proud of my work and dont give a shit about the assholes.

Nothing like a bureaucrat to screw up a nice day.
We dont attract them Marc. Just are more easily offended by them.

We know you are great brother wolf and that is what is important. But most of all it how you feel about yourself.

I have seen your posts and you are a concerned and helpful wolf. So keep it up brother

AAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOO

and to the bosses boss

GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I work in a corporate office and there are only about 10 people in this office. Frequently the president is there and if something goes wrong with tech equipment/pc's, I get to figure it out. But the president is one that you could satisfy 99% of the time and he wouldn't btch, but not be able to fix something in a quick second the 1% of the time and he goes bonkers. I've been called "idiot", as well as been given "evil" looks in a meeting room full of people to all kinds of direct things being said to me.

The last time he gave me the evil look in a meeting room full of people and everyone saw it. I so bad wanted to hold my finger up and say a few things to the room but if I would have, I would be out of a job.

He makes me very angry and one of these days, he is going to reap what he sows. I believe that what we put out in the universe does come back to us and one of these days, he will need someone but no one will be there.

There are a lot of sick control freaks in business. I'm finding that many of them are so insecure and the only way they can hide it is by putting other people down or making them feel like crap! It is unfair and I still haven't found a good way in life to deal with it or let it roll off my back. It usually gets to me in a big way as I tend to be a very sensitive person.

Don

Don:

Know how you feel brother wolf. I sometimes smile at them and tell them to have a nice day. Really sets them off. Cant figure it out. Dont know if I am being sincere or sarcastic. It is the latter but I love to see them squirm. Cause if they attack I say Gee I was only being nice.

Looks good on them. So Don give it a try. It really does work and you feel so good afterwards. They dont and that enhances your feel good.

just don't ask how much I hate my boss and his cretinous sidekick, you couldn't melt them both down and make an idiot out of them

"Me, bitter and twisted? noooo, never."

Well, maybe I used to be, but any more, I have developed a technique similar to Mikes, I just look at them and I know what a pair of slime-balls they are, and suddenly I feel all superior, works every time.

Dave :D

PS. If you really want to piss these guys off, make sure you have the latest management guru's book on your desk so they can see it.

Ha guys I had a little different slant on the bad work envirorment. It was my co worker that was the asshole and bad monthed me all the time to the boss. She worked days and I worked nights. No matter how much I did it wasn,t good enuf for her.

My boss on the other hand was the most understanding and nice person in the world. I told her about what I was going through with coming out about my SA and confronting the church. She has 3 boys ages 11-16 so she could totally relate to my issues. I would still have my job if it wasn't for the endless bitching to the boss about me from my co worker.
So guys you never no where the assholes going to show up but they are out there everywhere.

Marc Beware of the Asshole who could be your coworkers. Sometimes they are the ones adding fuel to the fire. Muldoon

When I meet people like this nowadays, I wonder what's driving them to have such issues with control, (lack of) trust (in co-workers & colleagues), maybe anger, etc.

Something about those traits rings a bell somewhere in my memory. I know I read something about them somewhere, but I can't quite place it.

Seriously, as I mentioned in a music thread one time that I see SA in all kinds of lyrics now, I often wonder about the statistics (1 in 7 boys, 1 in 4 girls) that I've seen about the prevalance of CSA, and who among my co-workers is in the same boat that I rode here.

That's no excuse for the behavior, just as I can't excuse bad behavior on my part. But it does get me wondering about what makes these people tick. There are other potentially damaging/hurtful experiences in some people's lives, too.

Gosh, don't I sound like such a nice guy? :) Actually, people like that drive me up the wall, but I have something to think about as I look for toe-holds on the climb.

Later,

Joe
