How do you process grief?

It's a very open-ended question, but it's a very complicated topic, so I hope that's alright: How do you grieve? What has helped you to rebuild your life after losing a piece of it? More specifically, has there been a time in your life where you've grieved for a person you have lost? For someone your community has lost, even if you did not know them directly? For parts of yourself? For times in your life that have gone? For ideas or dreams you had to let go of?
