To me, the best things about these guys is that they'll help fund therapy for abused kids who wouldn't otherwise qualify for assistance from the government, and the fact that they'll show up at court. Kids can be so scared of their abusers that, when it comes time to testify and their perp is sitting there staring at them the whole time, they can freeze up. Sometimes the abuser might say something as the child takes the stand, and aside from getting yelled at by the judge, nobody can do anything - and the kid doesn't testify. Having such big, tough friends right there in the courtroom with you must be immensely empowering. "We won't let anyone hurt you." Gods!
