I have only shared my story with one other person in my life and I have looked over this post for the past couple days. This is consistent with the feelings I tend to feel around my experience which is shame. Coming out of the closet and admitting I no longer believe in god were hard enough, but this is next level for me.

Im hoping to help others heal as I begin the process of my own wounds healing. Thank you for being bold enough to share your experiences which has allowed me to be more vulnerable around my experience.

Welcome stjarivera. Congratulations on coming out and congratulations on thinking critically. I shed the hetero-construct and the god-construct too, and it's been a relief. I hope you can find some relief her at this site. They're a lot of awesome guys here. Thanks for finding us.
