I think that the Triggers are a hard thing to deal with , but they ere some times a small step to healing .
You need to write when you are hurting and angry . Because your true feelings will come out and people need to know the truth . some times things are too watered down

Im writing too, the trigger episodes help me write. Use the force for your writing, dont try to hold it back, let it flow through your pen or onto your keyboard.

Use the writing as a catharsis.

Blake,

For me I have found it to be hard to deal with my triggers. It has been a god sent when I can stick with it and work through these triggers. Give your self time and I know you can over come anything. Your book is very powerful and can help others. Keep working on it and know that you are not alone.

lots of love, Nathan

Blake, I know just what you are talking about. I just finished one on SA and going over it about ten times in the editing phase was a stressor. The one thing I could say is that it does help to continue, the pain and the triggers are real and that is what you need to get across to your readers, think about most of the great artists, song writers, etc. they wrote most of the stuff during their most painful or joyful times, it is real and that is what people need. Your motivated now by the need to get your story out, write when you can and rest when you can. Resting is important, stress can lead to acting out and depression, you know how the domino effect starts. Keep writing, it will help all of us.

God bless,

Blake,

I have written quite a bit. Most of it will never see the light of day. I found what you describe to be quite true. When I write I get triggered quite a bit. I think the writing helps me to place perspective on the things that are triggering me, helps me work it out and understand where perhaps I am thinking wrongly about something.

You are not alone in getting triggered when you write. Keep writing. If you're anything like me, you'll find resolution in the work you're doing.

Lots of love,

John

Blake,

I think that in writing, even though it triggers you now, you will find a good way to bring the issues into focus and deprive them of their ability to hurt you. Writing obliges us to slow down and look at every word. We have to think about what it all meant and we have to examine every argument and problem in detail. In doing that we creat a truth we can understand rather than fear.

Much love,
Larry

If it hurts, if you feel the pain of the little boy as you write chances are the reader will feel the same, because what you write carries the energy of your soul.

What you feel as trigger might be repeated clearing up of old wounds, that ensure that you body is cleared up of all old energies, before you begin afresh. If it no longer triggers it is all clear down there.

Just make sure you dont get stuck in them the second time and release them finally as that is the purpose of all writing that is cathartic, that is when it can lead on to writing that is no longer painful but joyful, the joy of discovering your own self hidden underdeath all that pain.

That is the beauty when you can see your life as a book and then 'release' it.

I also am writing a book and am having the same trouble. I set the project aside for a while about 6 months ago. Have been thinking that I would pick it up again and get back to work. I have been working on the things that were triggering me and now feel that I could sit down with my computer without crying the whole time.

Maybe a break would be in order?

Love ya

Any time I have been working on a book there has come a time when I just need to stand back from the project and gather my thoughts. I discover that I have been getting too frantic about the project, so now the material is leading me instead of me leading the material. I am reacting rather than creating. In that situation a break is always a good idea.

Much love,
Larry

Well I'm writing one too. I find that I write in spurts. What I am writing is in the end a fictional story but many of the incidents are my own personal experiances and it takes me days of running the scene in my head and preparing to write it out and then I sit down write it out and feel drained for the rest of the day. By the time I write it out I've run it through my head so many times that I seem to have diminished the trigger. It's hard though. Good luck to you.
