Help Needed - Seeking Therapist

I have a son, 26 and brilliant, who was “abused” by his father - to the best of my knowledge the
“abuse” was not sexual, but emotional and verbal. It has left him extremely angry - and hurt and untrusting - he tried to “kill” himself once a few years ago - thank God he did not succeed.

He is in a long term relationship (and his wonderful girlfriend has come to me for suggestions) - she feels he is ready to seek help so we are seeking recommendation for a therapist in New York City that understands “abuse” in all of it's forms - anyone out there that can give me a
recommendation - I will be for ever grateful

Just know that there are a lot of opportunities for your son. I am certainly sorry that he had such a bad expperience with his father. That has hurt him a great deal, but he can get significantly better.
