Hello..

So Erm hey, I'm Judd. I'm in my early 20s and I live in Scotland.

I grew up in the foster care system and was abused within a institution. This is the first step I have really made in looking for support. Things have been creeping up recently, flashbacks etc at really bad times.

I'm in the beginnings of a relationship that I really see maybe going somewhere. I need to get help.

I'm glad you found this site. A lot of the guys on this site didn't or couldn't address these things for many years, so it's good to see someone able to tackle this and start the process of getting past what happened.

There are thousands of posts here, on every abuse-related topic imaginable, plus a whole lot of guys willing to offer their insights. I'd really encourage you to take your time and check it out. Reach out to anyone whenever you feel comfortable, and chances are, someone here has felt it, experienced it, or found a way to deal with it. It's definitely not an overnight journey, but things do get better with time and work.

i spent my secondary school years in Scotland - and love the country, culture, and people. wish i could spend more time there.

well done in recognizing the abuse and beginning to deal with it at an earlier age than most of us. your chances are good for a much better life for many more years.
