Has Anyone Here Used Sam-E?

I have been having mild-moderate depression lately and for reasons too long to explain again I am three-four months away from being able to get prescription meds. I did a lot of research and there is a good amount of evidence to suggest SAM-E is an effective anti-depressent. Has anyone tried it?

I purchased a box today and if no one here has tried it I will try and remember to report back on how everything goes.

I looked into it a few years ago. At that time it was way too expensive for me. The over all idea I got from my research back then was that it was good for joint pain and mood adjustments. If it is still being suggested by Men's Health Magazine as a remedy for depression, then I would consider it as a viable possibility.
