How can we let our dirty little secret out of the bag? What is the best way to make people understand that the sexual abuse of male children is pandemic in our society? Can we show
what their chosen ignorance has cost them? Who are the people that we need to influence? What is the best way to influence those people? Are we, as a group or as individuals, able to make a difference that really matters? Would YOU make a serious sacrifice of time, effort, or ego in order to change social perceptions about the sexual abuse of male children?

Who would you write to? Who would you call? Congressmen, Senators, Editors, Governors, Mental Health officials, Mayors, Bishops, Chairmen of th School Boards, Town Councilmen, Parole Boards? Who else needs to have their nose rubbed in this pile of crap? Where are our social services designed by us, for us?

Are we content to let this thing go on forever without changing them for the future? If not, where does change start? Does anyone among us know how women earned the legal right to say NO!?

There are, there must be, ways to achieve such a goal. What are those ways? Is it possible to heal ourselves by insuring the protection of future generations? Could we drive out some of our own demons by working to banish the demons of our culture. Is it possible for us to inform society of the true nature of our situation?

Is there anything that we can do? It is great that we are here being kind to each other. But can we find a way to be kind to those unprotected souls who have yet to join us here? I cant save myself. It is just to late. But is there a way to save someone else?

Look, I truly need to be saved. I am riddled with guilt and beaten down with despair. But if I can save one soul from the same fate, then maybe I can be forgiven. What do you think?

The other day I wrote a letter to the editor of our local news paper condemning the court for allowing a pedophile to roam the woods behind a school. A couple of days later the court reversed its decision on an 8 to 3 vote. The first line of my letter was As an adult male survivor of childhood sexual abuse... Did that make any difference in the courts opinion? I doubt it. Of course I also suggested that any judge who voted in favor of allowing the monster to haunt the woods should have his background checked and activities monitored. That probably didnt do much good either.

But my question is, can we do something? Can our situation be brought to light and improved?
Any suggestions or actions welcome!

Aden,

we can only do what we can do. We all are in different stages of healing, and some can't do anything other then work their healing. But others, there have been many here who have talked with journalists, written letters to newspapers, and done other things to bring awareness to the situation and the site. I sent many letters to newspapers when I was traveling for work earlier this year; but still did not have courage to sign my name, and it seem most papers do not print letters without names. But maybe I can work up to doing more. Take good care. And good luck with whatever you decide to do.
