This weekend I will celebrate Independence from: fear; anger; resentment; cocaine; speed; hallucinogens; my mother's manipulative ways; my father's weakness; denial; my abusers, all of them; sexual acting out; avoidance of truth; hatred; avoidance of love and intimacy; inner turmoil; perpetual heartache; terrifying nightmares; being victimized; victimizing myself.

There are so many other things that the SA brought on that I am no longer dependent on and, hopefully, will never be again. I hope you all have shed some of the things you've been dependent on that have hurt you over time. So Happy Independence Day!! May we all celebrate independence a little bit more every day!!

And I celebrate independence from cutting; drinking to excess; seeking out physical violence; self harm; familial manipulation; and some of the lies taught to me in child hood. I still work on other things. But I am greatful to have independence from some! Thank you Sinking!
