Just wanted to wish everyone here a Happy Christmas. Although the reason we're all here is sad, I am grateful to share/exchange experiences and give and recieve support with you all. You're truly interesting people to know(as well as we can know eachother online!) and I feel lucky to have found this place.


I also wanted to write about hope. That through suffering/processing painful emotions, communication and hard work, life CAN and DOES improve. Whatever direction we all move in from there is undiscovered till that time, but that IS moving forward. THAT'S living. It feels great to be alive and feeling things, despite all the anxiety, sadness and worry. I am glad to be here, in all of the complexity, cause it's real. Real is hard, but at least it's LIVING.


I wish everyone here hope for the coming year. Hope to be ourselves, whatever that might be, to be loved for who we are and to be able to love others fully too.

Yes, Merry Christmas to all the friends and family who take the time to come here. Though there's no one who's been here for my sake, just knowing that some people do care enough to see past the abuse makes me feel good. For that, I thank you.

I second your toast of hope and we are having a wonderful holiday!! We spent yesterday making an "upside down" snowman (my contribution to family humor)...big head on the ground and the feet towards the heavens!! It actually was a compromise...my partner stopped me from my first idea...door-to-door carols in the buff!! That wouldn't be a blessing for ANY of my neighbors. Remember your humor folks!! Merry Christmas, Beccy!!
