Happiness

Happiness
Happiness comes from within ourselves. It is already inside each and everyone of us. We seem to want to search for it in almost every conceivable location, except where it lies. Inside of us.

It is in there, covered with our negative emotions. Whether it be guilt, shame, worry, fear, hate, disbelief or any number of others. When we get rid of these negative emotions the happiness is there to see, having nothing to hide behind or be trapped under. A lot of these emotions arent even ours to carry, so why do we? Reach down and grab happiness, let it out, and enjoy it.

The questions for each and everyone of us is:
- What are the negative emotions that we are using to smother happiness?
- What are we going to do to get rid of those negative emotions?
- When are we willing to grasp a hold of the happiness within us and enjoy it?

These are questions that are asked to ourselves to be answered for ourselves.

Take care and be happy,
Bill

Thank you. I already knew this, but it's nice to be reminded of it once and a while, especially when I've been harboring some of those negatives.

Thanks for the good advice. We all desevre to be happy.

For me it is a process of emotional re-education. That's a slower process than I want but is goes on steadily.

I have a sort of voice in my head that vocalizes negativity. I can't change what was done to create and maintain that voice but I think that I can modify it so it is not so loud or so insistent with its negative talk.

I've heard the voice for as long as I can remember.

The image it presses is one in which my core is not happiness but hopelessness and loathsomeness. It 'says' that outward appearances of things other than that are 'false."

So, I've got a lot of work to do but I agree that it must be possible to turn it around.
