Had Bariatric Surgery

I have to say,I was petrified before this. My wife suggested it and I had it done. On the other side of it I have to say, the weight lose is real and the change in diet is not that bad. I am not recommending it but has so far worked for me (I'm only three weeks from having surgery.

Interesting sidenote- the shrink they make you see beforehand told me that 70% of bariatric patients have a history of abuse. Interesting how food is self-medicating.

That is interesting, actually. I was never more than 160 lbs., but for many years I had a terrible problem with over-eating, especially sugar and all manner of sweets.

I still like sweets but my eating is no longer out of control.

I wouldn't be surprised if the number were higher and that 70% constitutes those who admit.
