Well, it's Groundhog Day, and my wife & I continued our tradition of watching "Groundhog Day", with Bill Murray--at his best, IMHO.

For the first time I realized this movie is so much about being a survivor, recovery, growing, learning to thrive & really live. I saw it as I never had before.

If you haven't seen the movie I won't spoil it, but in a nutshell Phil Collins (Bill Murray) seems to keep living Groundhog Day over & over again. He learns & tries new things, some good & some not so good. Finally he "gets it right."

To me this is a survivor's tale of perseverance, being willing to learn, growing, being willing to change, and becoming a better person & truer self.

If you haven't seen it or seen it lately, you might want to see if it's on tonight, or rent it. We taped it and we're wearing the tape out. Its cool. Helps me see this day, and every day, in a whole new way.

Groundhog Day is a great movie. I've seen it a few times, and the message runs deep. But you better learn to like Sonny & Cher "I got you babe!" :D
 
OK Rick I admit it, I love that song.

And yes I cried when Sonny Bono died.

Been a favorite for years. You're right Victor. It really speaks to us.

I used to live near Punxsy, btw.

It'll always be a classic in my book.

I lived in PA quite a few years, tho more in the eastern part of the state. Do have family maybe a couple hours from Groundhog City, tho. I'd really like to get there one of these days--Groundhog Day
of course!

One of the few movies out there by my odd tastes anyway that has a bit of everything & does it all very well.
