Hi everyone,
Well, it's not quite back from the grave, but in a way it sure feels like it. I have missed you all SO MUCH, and I have felt terrible about not being able to participate in the discussions on the site for so long.
It's not that I needed a break from MS as such. The problem has been my asthma, which as some of you know was bothering me in the summer and caused me a few wobbles already back then. As usual I didn't listen to my doctor's warnings and just kept charging on, and then I really got clobbered.
I am not in any danger, so please don't worry about me. It's just that my lung capacity was so badly reduced that I could not go from one room to the next without feeling exhausted. Being 57 as opposed to 27, it has just taken me longer to recover, and in the meantime I was under strict orders to rest as much as possible. I can't believe how lazy I was becoming, but I kept getting praise for that so I just got lazier and lazier!
That's my view - my doctor calls it recovery. I wanted to be able to enjoy a normal Christmas, so I really did take her seriously this time. I feel pretty good, truth be told, so I am looking forward to returning to the site about the middle of next week.
Thanks so much for all the sentiments and good wishes I have been receiving. Sorry if you tried to PM me recently - I know my box is jam packed. I'll try to deal with that next Wednesday, and hopefully I'll be back on the site and posting as usual on Thursday.
I see some new faces! If you are new here I hope you feel welcome, wanted, and appreciated here on MS. It's an incredible resource and I'm sure you will find a lot to help you here.
Much love,
Larry
