Hi everyone,

Well, it's not quite back from the grave, but in a way it sure feels like it. I have missed you all SO MUCH, and I have felt terrible about not being able to participate in the discussions on the site for so long.

It's not that I needed a break from MS as such. The problem has been my asthma, which as some of you know was bothering me in the summer and caused me a few wobbles already back then. As usual I didn't listen to my doctor's warnings and just kept charging on, and then I really got clobbered.

I am not in any danger, so please don't worry about me. It's just that my lung capacity was so badly reduced that I could not go from one room to the next without feeling exhausted. Being 57 as opposed to 27, it has just taken me longer to recover, and in the meantime I was under strict orders to rest as much as possible. I can't believe how lazy I was becoming, but I kept getting praise for that so I just got lazier and lazier! :)

That's my view - my doctor calls it recovery. I wanted to be able to enjoy a normal Christmas, so I really did take her seriously this time. I feel pretty good, truth be told, so I am looking forward to returning to the site about the middle of next week.

Thanks so much for all the sentiments and good wishes I have been receiving. Sorry if you tried to PM me recently - I know my box is jam packed. I'll try to deal with that next Wednesday, and hopefully I'll be back on the site and posting as usual on Thursday.

I see some new faces! If you are new here I hope you feel welcome, wanted, and appreciated here on MS. It's an incredible resource and I'm sure you will find a lot to help you here.

Much love,
Larry

Merry Christmas, Larry! I'm another one glad to hear you're doing well.

Thanks,

Joe

Larry you were gone? :) :)

It is good to see you back next week

Larry,

I knew there was no point trying to send a PM to your box. Between you and Santa at this time of year, Santas out of his depth!

Good to see Roadrunner logged on, if ever so briefly.

We all look forward to business as usual (and I was looking forward to beating your number of posts I was almost there [sic]). I guess that plan will be foiled as of next Thursday.

Take it easy Larry.

Well, I missed this thread by some strange fate... Like having family from out of town around, power outages combined with web connection issues soooo... this post is a bit late to the thread, but damn it's good to hear from you, Bro!

Glad you're doing better and so pleased that you have joined me on the official MS couch potato list!

Lots of love,

John

Larry,

I have COPD so know the feeling.
But the brain works, although I wonder which is more distorted: lungs or brain??
