Hi all, I just had a great time with my family. My wife, my kids and I went to my favorite restaurant and had a great time. We went to a place called Coyote Blues. Its a Tex Mex place that serves the BEST margaritas around. We all like the food and my wife and I love the margaritas. It was a great family time with lots of smiles and conversation with the kids. They really respond well to having family fun as apposed to separate time with just their mom or dad.
Any way, I was thinking the other day that my 40th B-day was lonely and sad. Yet today I can see that I have great people around me. Even if my wife does end up divorcing me (god I hope not!!), I still have my kids and other family members (who called to say they cared). That isn't the same as a loving wife (of course its not), but isolation is sometimes a frame of mind or self imposed.
I never thought I would live to see 30 never mind have such a great 40th B-day; so I guess the lesson here is to live in the present day, not the past, or the unknown future.
Happy Birthday to me. Thanks for all your responses and support.
