Seen the movie Good Will Hunting (1997 - Matt Damon, Ben Afleck, Robin Williams)? About a math genious (Matt Damon) who was physically abused as a child, follows the expected effects of that with self-esteem and abandonment issues. Robin Williams plays a psychologist who works with him to bring him out of that after a university professor realizes the incredible mathmatical genius within Damon. I watched it last night. Very good movie.

I'm glad this movie is helpful to both of you-but i didn't like it for the following reasons......
1. I HATE when hollywood tries to capitalize on abuse issues, which, i think, they've done alot lately.

2nd. In this movie specificaly, they use this pop-psychology that 'all is healed'-the panacea if you will, by simply getting Will to accept that IT WAS NOT HIS FAULT. Using a tearjerker scene to evoke or demonstate it, bad taste in my opion.

Now this my stem from my own inability to accept certain aspects of the abuse.

Sorry for such a negative post guys.
I had a really bad date last night. And i guesss I'm still pissed off (seething) about it.
