hi guys,

good morning

i am in a good mood -

and after hearing someone's daily probs today -
as everyonoe has -

i wanted to come here - and just be here to say

good morning -

this someone was of a generation where
'you didn't go to a therapist' - i suppose -
or that's what his demeanour seems to say to me

- though

he looked so moved - by his problem
maybe some day - he'll go to seek it -
.....

i think we are lucky - in some ways - that we're all of us so strong to be able to seek help

and help each other - and stick around...

'the strong ones get help' -

my therapist once said to me -

god bless each of us!

we're survivors -

and i think that

we're tough.

Mark,

Good morning to you too bro! Hope all is well in Toronto.

Yes, I think you're absolutely right. It's tempting to see going to a therapist as a sign of weakness, but the opposite is the case. It's a sign of real courage and strength to face problems of this gravity and say "I need help".

This is especially difficult for a survivor. Abuse taught us that we had to shut up and deny our needs and feelings. Getting into therapy involves rejecting that false lesson, acknowledging what we need, and asking for it.

Much love,
Larry
