Hey guys, I bought these sticky bug traps from a shop, and yeah, this thing was catching the bugs.

I thought OK, this is a cool trap for bugs.

I heard a bird crying uncontrollably in my yard, so I investigated it, and the bird had one wing caught in this trap.

I had to be careful of the bird breaking his wing, so I catch him and he is only a baby starling.

I start to peel his bones from this sticky trap, and some of his flight bones where broken, and he tries to break free from my hand, and I am crouching on lots of broken foliage that I cut from my garden.

I grabbed him once again in a better position, and I slowly pulled his bones and feathers off this sticky trap, and try not to break his flight feathers, and finally I did it after a long time because when I got him unstuck he got stuck again.

I was blaming myself for putting this trap there anyhow, but I never knew it would catch a baby bird so I trashed it.

Anyhow, the bird was OK cos I grabbed him, and slowly released his wing from this trap, and not breaking his bones, and he flew away, which was much to my relief.

I hope he will be OK,

Ste,

That is very beautiful, and thank you for sharing it. I really hope the bird is doing well. Andrei and I save a baby bird last year, and he seem to be doing fine now (if that is the same bird anyway!) They are resilient creatures.

Leshka, yes I remember that, I asked Andrei to bring back that story.

The bird was only a chick, so I had to be very careful to not break his flight bones, not easy.

I am pretty good with animals, and they seem to know you are helping them. I always remember being at the beach as a boy, and the birds used to get stuck in netting, and they were big birds too, but I always carried a knife to cut them free.
