Ken,
If people "skip" the survivor stories, then Mike Lew's (Victims No Longer) and Mic Hunter's (Abused Boys) books for survivors are excellent.
I started with Mic's book and even my wife read it. I can still find new insights into myself reading it, and it's been more than a year now, I think.
Mike's books are deservedly highly praised. He told us in MN that a new edition of "VNL" is coming out soon. (No one should wait for it to start healing, though, IMHO.) His "Leaping Upon the Mountains" is very light on those kinds of details, if they're there at all. It's full of quotes from male survivors intended for male survivors.
'Course, they could read some good discussions here, though not in a book.
Thanks,
Joe
