God of your mind Or the True and living God ?
Salvation is a super natural work of God. If any man be In Christ Jesus he is indeed a New Creation. Not that he does a work in you one time in your life because you said a prayer and asked Jesus to come into your heart because God will do abundantly more than do a work in your life once ,but it is a Continual work in you and will not stop until this work is completed. This is the gospel this is the truth , why isn't it excepted ? What is becoming increasingly excepted is ... say this prayer ask Jesus into your heart and your in. Than the people go out into the streets justified to live the same life before the prayer was even uttered. This is NOT THE GOSPEL.!!! This is heresy. If there is no working and moving of the holy spirit and a continuously ever changing heart for Christ than how can someone seriously consider them a follower of Jesus Christ? If you do not hate the sin you once embraced something is wrong. If you are a new Creation than how can the same activities continue on in your life. I am not speaking of perfection I am speaking about working out your salvation . I speak about getting the word of God and desiring it and wanting more and more of Christ. The reality is so many are desiring to do their own will there is no sacrifice for Christ there is no laying down of ones life for the sake of righteousness. There is more and more of people trying to build their own little kingdom. They believe you are blessed when thing's are merely going ones way. They believe blessings only flow when they obtain relationships, houses, cars, money, jobs, etc. Not realizing you are truly blessed by default if you have Christ. If Christ is not the center of your life working everything out from there , than you will continue to try to fill the the center with everything in this world. If Christ is the center of your life and you are basing everything else from the center out than you will be content. If you are seeking relationships in order to fulfill what you think will ultimately make you happy you are going to be disappointed because you are seeking something other than Christ First this is called an Idol. Anything you put before Christ is going to end with you trying to replace and chase this feeling of happiness. Happiness is determined by happenings. What will you do when you go from talking to not talking or from doing things together to not doing things together ? What happens when the things that first made you happy stop happening ? There has to be more than this. You must have Christ to sustain the relationship. If the man is not leading the relationship in Christ to begin with than it will fail. Why is God blessing a relationship that is outside of him ? Having pre- marital sex and living outside of his will trying live in a relationship is a mirage and is going to end in turmoil. The same goes for placing any other thing before Christ. Most people think blessings are things that make them happy. Take the things away that are making them happy away and suddenly God is nowhere to be found. There is no mention of God even though God could actually be blessing thing with something that will cause them tremendous growth. How will you know what grace is if you do not have to extend it ? How will you experience mercy if you do not have to give it ? God uses these things to ultimately conform us to the image of Christ. Contentment and Joy come from the realization and relationship you have with Christ not anything else. Nothing else will do, nothing else can do . Joy is a spirit quality and faith coupled with action materializes Christ working in you and through you. Apart from Christ you are nothing and will accomplish nothing except building your own tiny little kingdom. In Christ however the kingdom you are building is of God for God and it will last . What you build will be as if it is built on sinking sand and will disappear before your eyes. If you are not living this way you are playing Churchianity not living out Christianity and there is a huge difference . Time to do self inventory and see which God you are serving the True and Living God or the God you have created in your mind . Nathan Tice 9/9/2014
