Give yourself permission

Give yourself permission

Curtis St. John

President Emeritus
One of the concepts we came up with in Canada was giving ourselves permission, and I always forget that we have that power.

I give myself permission to give up my circular logic. (see \'Am I obsessing\' )

I give myself permission to enjoy the work I do.

I give myself permission to recover at whatever pace that comes from within.

I give myself permission to be quirky.

I give myself to be funny.

I give myself permission to love myself.

I give myself permission to give myself permission to make mistakes. That's not circular logic. It's just the first step. Going for broke is still too hard. :(

Thanks,

Joe

I give myself permission to embrace my anger
I give myself permission to hate Rick
I give myself permission to heal
I give myself permission to be a grown-up
I give myself permission to find someone to share my life and love
I give myself permission to be ME, Casey, flaws and all
I give myself permission to find peace

I give myself permission to be me.

I give myself permission to feel what I am feeling.

I give myself permission to want to just vomit when thinking about all the crap of my childhood. Why the hell wasn't I born in a normal family???? (I need to go zone out and watch some more Leave It To Beaver and Father Knows Best reruns).

excuse my humor, but I find you all to be a very permissive group. I permit myself to laugh at all of you, even as I weep with understanding.

Laugh all thou wishes for it is thine right. I for one, am not easily ashamed or embarassed. (and its a good thing too! :D )

I give myself permission to not feel guilty over things beyond my control.

I give myself permission to feel however it is I feel, without thinking I 'should' feel differently.

I give myself permission to accept a compliment without immediately thinking 'No I'm not' or 'You don't know the truth'.

I give myself permission to believe that I am not selfish, and I do give back to people who help me.

I give myself permission to be able to feel something, or some way, not feel I must explain myself or my reasons for feeling it.

I give myself permission to be appropriately angry or upset.

To chase the dreams of my childhood that took a back seat to fear and pain. It felt like my CSA froze something in my development. The dreamer side of me changed.

Now I am still the adult I am, but I am looking at my old dreams and doing some of those things, old hobbies are back!

And I will also have some pumpkin pie along with my pumpkin spice coffee, good idea!

I GIVE MYSELF PERMISSION TO INTEGRATE A ME!

Eirik, your pumpkin pie attack is very familiar to me.(warm smile)

Hey Curtis,

How have you been, I love to see you show up here. You're are an inspiration to a lot of people especially me.

I'm sorry but I'm not at that point I can give myself permission for anything.

(PS I sent you an email. I hope you don't mind.)

I give myself permission to ...

Not

Fix

Every

Single

Ducking

Thing

I see wrong with myself.

I give myself permission to just be, to make each moment exactly what it is, without edit, without compromise, without guilt for being here, alive, in the presence of those around me, without needing to validate my right to life.

I give myself permission to immolate myself so that I can rise from the ashes as a Phoenix.

I give myself permission to love, hate, lust, hunger, thirst, and FEEL.

THANK GOD FOR THE PHOENIX OPTION!
