gamers?

*raises hand* I'm a complete geek when it comes to games. Mostly MMORPGS with friends. I've played WoW, Diablo series, Final Fantasy XIV, Star Wars : The Old Republic. I have most of the consoles ranging back to the original NES. But mostly play PC games now.
 
I'm a big Zelda fan.
And most of the Squaresoft games back in the day ( Square Enix) now.

I enjoy tabletop games like Dungeons and Dragons and Magic the Gathering. I play every Saturday night with a group of 6 friends playing D&D.

Fun times.
 
I haven't played it in a few years. Not going to again. But it's the game I loved the most especially for the incredible storylines per class. And yes, I played all characters and classes on both sides. I was kind of addicted :)
 
One of my friends is doing that right now. I'm not THAT dedicated. Just like hanging in voice chat and BS'ing. This just gives me something to do while we hangout.
 
I'm a fan of Anime overall, but, yeah, Bleach was one I got started on, that and Yu Yu Hakusho.

Star Trek fan too. Grew up on Star Trek The next Generation <3 and Voyager.

Imo, the only good Star Wars are, A new hope, Empire strikes back, and Return of the Jedi. The other 6 are meh...at best.
 
Oh I love video games.
I really enjoy RPGs. And I've invested more time in MMORPGs than I'd care to admit. But I quit playing those due to the time commitments and so I could complete my degree. So I primarily stick with the Final Fantasy series and I'm trying to replay Dragon Quest. Games that I can pick up or drop as needed.

My current games on the Switch are Zelda Breath of the Wild and Skyward Sword, Dragon Quest, and FF
My almost-current games on the Xbox were Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Star Wars Fallen Order

On PC, I mostly play strategy games and sims. Elite Dangerous, Stellaris, Surviving Mars, Valheim, Crusader Kings III, and Cities Skylines are currently where my attention, with video games, is spent. Good stuff.

Oi. as a Star Wars fan, we'll have to agree to disagree. I'm happy to spend time convincing you though so If you ever need to dive into Star Wars Expanded Universe, you just say the words. From viewing perspective, though, if you're new to the films, I'd recommend the machete viewing order. if memory serves me right, it's 4, 5, 2,3,6,7,8,9 and 1 is optional. Rogue One can be slotted in after 4 and Solo is best viewed after 5. My personal faves are Episode III Revenge of the Sith, Episode V Empire Strikes Back, Episode VII Return of the Jedi, and Rogue One. Though Solo has grown on me. If you watch Episode II, just skip their time on Naboo because the dialogue is... well it's different.

But I can agree with you whole heartedly on Star Trek. The new Picard series was awesome and Season 2 is going to be about the Q. So things just keep getting better and better.

As for anime, is anyone familiar with the Overlord series by Kugane Maruyama?
 
Okay well when you're watching 3, think of it through the lens of what you would do if all your friends and everyone you knew prevented you from saving the one person who added meaning and value to your life. What would you do?

Below Decks was a fricken hoot. omg. I laughed so much during that. Just the scenarios themselves were quite comical.

So for FF7 remake, I don't have a PS5, or really a PS anything, so I couldn't play it. I wanted to, because I played the **** out of FF7 on the PS1 back in the day (yep, i'm that old). I'm sure i sound like i thought my dad sounded when he would talk about something called an atari. But I digress.

So I eventually want to get it but have to be in a place to fall down a hole for like a month. Because I will have a Gold Chocobo, Knights of Round, and maxed out materia allowing for Knights of the Round summon to be cast multiple times. Whereas I've never killed all the Weapons, It's definitely happening the next time I play.

But I've also been a bit on the fence because my hair guy told me that they didn't release the full game. I haven't read up yet to see if that's true. I just know I enjoyed the game the most after I left the casino area.

For resident evil, did you see the mini series on Netflix? I remember playing resident evil in the dark on PS1 where you start the game with 3 bullets in the gun. And that spider..... so scary.
 
Now that's impressive. Having good rig is essential. Are you mining bitcoin? :) Sounds like you got a mainframe growing over there.

My wife got mine and I'm not sure how much it was but it's an Acer Predator Orion 9000. It sings. And lights up my office blew with the lights. It has pretty slick Nvidia card and it boots in under a minute. Now it is almost as tall as my desk from the floor, but it's on wheels so I could be mobile if i needed to. For ultimate mobility I have a a ASUS ROG Strix, but I mostly use that to take my video gaming on the road.
 
In case the name wasn't a dead give away, I'll also admit to being a fairly avid gamer, on both console and PC. I usually stick to FPS, but I branch out for some strategy and RPGs.
 
Oh man Crusader Kings is a blast. It's like a juicy soap opera. I'm like... the scandal.

I haven't been able to get into the new Civ games, I put in about 7.1 hours into Civ VI. . But when they got all cartoony, I sort of didn't like that. Also, I could never master the culture mechanic. Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth though... that one was a lot of fun. I'll be honest, I was hoping for more of something like Alpha Centauri, which was a remodded Civ2, but it was still good.
