hi,
first of all i would like to say thank you to everyone i have spoke with in the chat room everyone has been so cool and nice,,,

well, this is the first time ive posted on the board since i found this site (about 1 week ago),and also the first time ive ever spoke to anyone about my past abuse,i have felt up to now that anyone i told would not belive me,and it has taken me ten years to realise that there are other guys who know how i feel and who do belive me,others guys who know what the guilt,pain and shame feel like.

since finding this site and seein all you guys recovering strongly,i have realised that i can survive and i will....thank you to all you guys.

I am pleased that you have found the strength to make your first post here. You will find that although many of our experiences are different, we have much common ground. You will find a lot of support, good advice and people that will not judge you here.

If you read some of the older postings, you will find that some of us stayed quiet for 30/40 years, so you are making a very good move finding support now.

Speaking that first time is the step that makes all the others possible. I have found the people here to be wonderfully supportive. Just knowing that this place and these folks are here makes a big difference in my life.

None of us wants anyone to need this kind of support, but this crew is very good at providing it.

As I do not go to the chat room, I have not yet 'met' you. So I would like to say welcome here. I am glad that you have found this site, although it is always sad when someone has need for it.
