I have ben down for a couple of weeks now .I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST THE christmas blues , but I CANNOT SEEM TO SHAKE IT .

Sometimes it is the shorter days - less sunlight, called seasonal affective disorder. Some folks get a sun lamp and have it on for a while.

www.nami.org/helpline/sad.htm
Check it out and see if it fits your mood.
Or just enter seasonal affective disorder, or winter blues.

Bullshit froggy12 It's because we are still unable to cope with what happened. Thats like people (professonal) tell me "distract yourself".
Then when it's built up for weeks, it's to big, I cant distract anymore, I try. Then before I know it I'm back in the psycho centre, last time it was only 8 weeks, I got let out and then 4 days later back for another week. I failed three times so im here still.
Do not put of dealing with how people feel.

Hey, leave froggy alone he means well.
I bought some daylight lamps on ebay and they do make a difference on miserable days like today.

They mimic sunlight, but hey, spring is getting closer each day, a little lighter.
Lets kick the new year in, by looking after ourselves for a change,

OKIE MIKE,

Sounds like depression to me. There's a simple test that your doc can give you for depression, or you can use this online one here: https://www.med.nyu.edu/psych/screens/depres.html

If it is depression, it can be treated with medication and therapy.
