Hi Guys,

I've been listening to an audio book called Fear: Essential Wisdom for Getting Through the Storm by Thich Nhat Hanh.

It's a wonderful, compassionate set of exercises for recovery from fear itself, not just from abuse. I've found it amazingly helpful and simply reassuring. Hanh was a peace activist in Vietnam during the war there, and you get the feeling his truths were hard won. Wonderful book for those of us suffering from CSA and all the long term fears that trauma brings on. Here's an amazon link for anyone who wants to try it out.

Best wishes,

oh lovely, i'm going to read this book. Thanks Danny!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Sometimes I feel like our sense of being alone makes us think we're different from other people. But we share the same fears so many others do. It seems like every fear is really the same fear chemistry wise. And this book is a marvel kindness and wisdom.

Guys, i would like to recommend this book to all of us! It is a really great source of inspiration how to deal with our fears.

I've just finished reading this book and it really hits the spot and provides ways of dealing with our fear, which are easy to understand and practice.

I'd advice to buy a second hand on amazon, for +/- 6 dollars you can have the book in your home :)

Thanks again Danny, really wonderful book to read. I'm now reading another book by Thich Nhat Hahn on how to deal with anger. As my therapist said, fear is what lies underneath anger. I'm sure that reading about both will help to heal.

However painful, it is such a wonderful experience to finally get to know myself after all these years.. every step counts, so thank you again for sharing this little gem of wisdom!
