A friend of mine saw this movie last week. He is more limited in his English then even me, but he was able to get the concept of this movie, even without all the dialog. And it entails 'erasing' negative memories, in attempts to lead better lives. It made him think, and as he was telling me about it, made me think also, about whether truly we would be better off if we can do that. I have not yet seen the movie, so do not know if it plays it to be a good or bad thing, to erase the past. I think maybe though, the quote has an interesting context to it. It seems to be insulting, like there would be constant happiness only in a brain void of use and thought. (wow, I think I actually put that well! :) Pardon, I still get excited sometime when I use words right). Anyway, I just thought I would mention it here.
