Hey All,

I wanted you all to know that MaleSurvivor is now registered with www.goodsearch.com

Whenever you use Goodsearch as your search engine and designate MaleSurvivor as the organization you would like to support, a portion of advertising income is designated to MaleSurvivor.

Now I know its difficult I used to be a Google fan myself, however this organization means a lot to me and if it means as much to you then give Goodsearch a shot.

Thanks so much!

And a big thanks to clemente who brought this site to our attention!

Curtis,

Thanks. I have never heard of goodsearch, but sure, I'll give them a try and designate MS as the org I want to support.

OK, from now on, if I buy something I will search with that.

I just earned you some money already,

Curtis -

I am not sure what we should do here -

you have to fill in an ms contact name etc...

M

No problem.

Go to Goodsearch.com

Below the search window there is a set of instructions, and below that is the Im supporting window. In there type MaleSurvivor and click verify. And that should be it! Every time you do a seach they give us a cut of their ad income, and if you have cookies enabled MaleSurvivior will automatically entered when you return!

I hope that helps!

Thanks Gang!

After looking over the www.goodsearch.com site I noticed that for the convenience of the avid search engine user there is a Goodsearch toolbar for Internet Explorer and Firefox, similar to the Google toolbar. It can be downloaded and installed so that you have a Goodsearch dialog window on your browser bar at all times.

For those of you with concerns about having your online activity tracked for advertising purposes, you may want to think twice about downloading and installing toolbars of any kind.

Lots of love,

John

John,

I echo that, I will not have any search dialogue linked to browser.

Internet explorer is a hackers dream.
If you want a totally free browser that works exactly the same as IE, search for ace explorer.
It even transfers all the settings of IE, but has a built in pop up blocker.

No gimmicks, not flaws, its open source, so its totally free,

Didn't mean to get this thread sidetracked onto the pro's and con's of various browsers.

I am really excited about being able to raise funds for MS every time I do a search. It may not be a lot per use, but if everyone of us uses this tool every time we do a search it WILL add up.

Curtis, perhaps this thread or at least your original post on it could be featured a the top of the thread list so that it will not migrate out of sight :)

You guys are great, this is really taking off! Don't forget to tell your friends!

This is a great way to help MS out. I search for work every day

Moving this back up top

Please don't forget about using goodsearch.com! It's free and a great way to give back to the organization!!

It's on my Firefox toolbar, and it works!

If it doesn't recognise what you enter, such as "malesurvivor" - the entry is actually -

MaleSurvivorNOMSV(Washington,DC)

Dave

I set it as my home page at work. I'm constantly searching there.

And here's a tip!

If you prefer Google you can use the Google Tool Bar and have it ready or do what I did and make Google the first favorite. That way if the Goodsearch inquiry doesnt do it for you, you have Google ready as the backup!

Use has fallen off greatly, so if you can tell your friends that would be awesome!

Cheers!
